Route Preview
Besides being Epic…HUNKR has 5 Aid stations with water, Hammer Nutrition Heed, Gels, fruit and snacks. SAG wagons, and rider support will all be there to serve you.
If you are into the ADVENTURE part of the Gravel bike, and no so much the race element, this is also the place for you. Come do an epic ride, and enjoy the scenic and challenging course. You won’t be disappointed.

This HUNKR ROUTE is epic, and a can’t miss Fully Supported timed race through parts of Old Ridge Route that hasn’t seen a car in 60 years. (Preview the Route) Neil Shirley designed this route and wrote about it in Road Bike Action.
Friday, November 9:
2:00 – 8:00PM- EARLY Packet Pick Up at REVOLUTION BIKE FEST registration table (Castaic Lake, CA)
There’s a list of hotels offering discount Revolution Bike Fest Rates HERE, or RV or Tent CAMP to be at home base before breakfast and enjoy the Bands and Music Friday Night.
Saturday, November 10 (Race Day):
ARRIVE EARLY – You may check in on-site starting at 7:00AM atREVOLUTION BIKE FEST registration table (Castaic Lake, CA) (Coffee and Breakfast available at Food Court.
NOTE: CHP Will escort us to the start as a neutral roll out, for the first 4 miles part of the course. Ride like the Tour de….HUNKR to the start and through the first stop sign.
6:30AM Castaic Lake Gate opens
7:00 AM SAME DAY Packet Pick Up Opens
8:15AM CORRALS OPEN
8:20AM Pre-Ride Chat with Todd Brown Race Director
8:25AM National Anthem
8:30AM Start / Neutral Roll-out
8:00AM – 4:00PM Bike Demo & Expo, pump track, food trucks, and trails open at the Festival for your family and friends to enjoy
11:00AM Food Trucks open
2:00PM Last Chance to hit the dirt on the last 10 miles of Fire Road if you want to finish and be timed
12:20PM Last Chance for Overall Winners to dispute finish.
2:30PM Overall Winner’s and FUNKR Winner’s Presentation (Note: as soon as the top 3 of an age group have finished we will do their awards presentation)
4:00PM Official Ride Ending Time – riders finishing after 4pm will not be timed, but they will get an epic adventure, a strong welcome back at the venue after a 7 mile downhill no-pedal return from the finish, and an PRO- “I did it” – HUNKR t-shirt.
